During his competitive years at UCLA, he helped lead his team to NCAA gold.
He has been chairman of USA Gymnastics Athletes Council, a member of the
Executive Committee of USA Gymnastics, a member of the 2000 Men’s
Olympic Team Selection Committee, and has sat on numerous other committees
of USA Gymnastics. Chris has been a State, Regional, and National

largest gymnastics camps in the U.S.A. for a combined 11 years.
In 1997 Chris and wife Cindy built GymJam Camp into the largest boys and
girls gymnastics camp west of the Mississippi. After building up the
camp to over 500 campers during three weeks of summer sessions, Chris and
Cindy brought their camp operation to Woodward Gymnastics Camp. As
the Gymnastics Directors for Woodward West, Chris and Cindy helped launch
Woodward’s Tehachapi, California location. Together they were
responsible for marketing, enrollment, and all gymnastics programs.
Woodward also hired Chris to “draw” kids to camp. Some
of Chris’s responsibilities and duties included the design and construction
of the interior of the gymnastics facility, and the design and construction
of custom gymnastics equipment. His vision, accomplishments, field
knowledge, and management skills created the west coast’s premier
gymnastics camp. Chris has been married to Cindy since June of 1993
and they have two children, Alex (Level 7) and Lilia (Level 4).
Cindy Waller, Owner/Business
Operations Manager
Cindy Waller has been involved in the sport of gymnastics
since 1978, either as a competitive athlete, coach, motivator or camp director.
Although she has an intimate involvement in the sport, her biggest attribute
is her business background. She is a 1992 graduate of UCLA with an
Economics degree with an emphasis in Business. Cindy played a major
role in the development of Mad Dogg Athletics, the corporate office for
the Spinning® program (the original indoor cycling exercise program).
As one of the original five employees of Mad Dogg Athletics, Cindy helped
create many of the company's systems. She managed and coordinated
both the Spinning instructor trainings in North America and the World Spinning
and Sports Conference. She brings crucial business management skills
that she acquired at Mad Dogg Athletics and GymJam Camp to Wallers’
GymJam Academy. Cindy has been an essential part of all aspects of
the creation and operation of Flying Chris, Inc. and GymJam.
From 2002-2004 along with marketing and programming, Cindy’s main
responsibilities at Woodward West were to coordinate U.S. club teams and
National Teams from various countries to train at Woodward West. Furthermore,
she was responsible for opening and managing the year-round gymnastics school.
In a very small town, Cindy managed to enroll 100 children in gymnastics
instruction in the first month.
Together, Chris, Cindy and family are excited to make Wallers’ GymJam
Academy the premier gymnastics program in Southern California.
